Hello. I'm having a problem installing. I've been trying to install it from the live USB, and I just can't get past the following error:
>The installer encountered an error copying files to the hard disk: > >\[Errno 5\] Input/output error > >This is often due to a faulty CD/DVD disk or drive, or a faulty hard disk. It may help to clean the CD/DVD, to burn the CD/DVD at a lower speed, to clean the CD/DVD drive lens (cleaning kits are often available from electronics suppliers), to check whether the hard disk is old and in need of replacement, or to move the system to a cooler environment.
Then right after that, the installer crashes having only copied some of the system files. I should also mention that I'm trying to setup an encrypted LVM guided partition using the entire disk/drive. But I'm pretty sure I tried it at least once without the encryption as well. I haven't tried manual install.
I've tried installing to and from several different devices ranging from USB sticks, a SSD, and a HDD. I've also tried installing to SATA from USB, from SATA to USB, and from USB to USB - but I still get the same error. I've tried flashing the BackSlash ISO image via the "dd" terminal command, several different GUI programs, and even through an Android app - and still I get the same results. I also tried redownloading. I guess the only thing I haven't tried is actually using a CD or DVD, but that seems a little unnecessary. I've used this USB equipment with other distros without a problem.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong? How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance! This distro is way cool!
