Hi, I installed Backslash Linux yesterday on my laptop and I love it since ! I can connect to the Internet but I can't access to my local network. I have Elementary OS installed on the same computer and it works well. Do you have any idea why this does not work on Backslash Linux ? I can't see any of the PCs on the network, only "Windows Network". Thank you. Alex

You need to be on the same workgroup for local sharing and then choose "connect to server".

I am on the same workgroup and it does not want to connect. It says "Unhandled error message: Failed to retrieve share list from server: Connection refused".

I did some modifications to my system and it works ! I don't really know what did the trick but here is what I did : - change the workgroup name in "/etc/samba/smb.conf" to "MSHOME" and change it again to "WORKGROUP" - update the firewall configurations, allowing samba and samba-client in every category. I restart after doing all this and it works. If someone know what really worked let us know here Staff, Thanks for your quick answer btw.
