Tried installing BackSlash Linux Elsa - Pantheon, x86_64 on 3 different systems. one is an uefi system the other two are older systems without uefi. On all three it does the same thing. No matter what I select at the menu it comes up to a initramfs prompt that allows me to type help and some very basic commands. Thats it, doesn't do anything else. no install screen, no GUI screen, nothing. Am I missing something here?

Hi Jason, You must read the documentation or watch a How-to Video before installing any software. Each software has it's own set of instructions. You need to type "exit" at the initramfs prompt and press enter to continue booting to live mode or installer mode as per your wish. You won't be required to do this once the distribution is installed.
